Costin is the United Nations of bands with all of it's members haling from different countries like The United States, Brazil, Spain, Austria, and even Croatia. A six piece female fronted pop/pop rock band with a unique talent for writing catchy three minute pop songs.
Costin, gets it's name from it's lead singer Consuelo Costin. who is also the great, great, great, great granddaughter of Cornelius Vanderbilt the railroad & shipping mogul of 1800's America.
Costin the band began as a trio founded by singer Consuelo Costin, Guitarist Ante Novaselic & Keyboard player Pancho Burgous upon answering a band wanted ad. The trio hit it off and began to write and record. Once they had a big enough set list to perform live around town they started booking gigs. A song they wrote and just finished recording called 'Better Days' landed in front of an executive at the ACS (American Cancer Society) The executive thought Better Days could be the perfect theme song for a promo campaign the organisation was almost ready to embark on. Costin was offered a one year exclusive contract for the use of Better Days. The trio were honored & gladly accepted the offer. All proceeds from Better Days went directly to patients and families affected by cancer. With Better Days the story of Costin the band begins.
With the success of Better Days . The band decided it was time to recruit more members so they added Fabio Soares-2nd Guitar, Kris Campbell on Bass and Sandro Noguiera on Drums. The chemistry with this line up felt strong and more songs started emerge. A track called Naked was the front runner and the band was very excited about Naked. A band decision was made to have a DJ remix version of Naked done. A month or so upon completing both versions of Naked the band was informed that the remix version landed at the 96th spot on the Billboard Top 100 Club/Dance Chart and started to make it's climb up. Naked ultimately peaked at the 12th position on the chart and stayed there for a week . All together Naked spent just under a month on the chart.
With the minor successes of both Naked and Better Days a buzz started to encircle the band and the phone began to ring
